About RedLens

RedLens is an open-source command-line tool for archiving and analyzing public Reddit history — locally. It pulls public posts and comments through arctic-shift, a free Reddit mirror, and stores everything in a single SQLite file on your machine. No API keys, no Reddit account, no cloud.

It’s built for researchers, analysts, and anyone investigating public discussion patterns: sync a user’s history, track topics across subreddits, open analysis dashboards, and surface coordinated posting networks. Reports can pseudonymize usernames before you share them.

RedLens is MIT-licensed and developed in the open at github.com/TheWeiHu/redlens. This site carries guides and release notes; the code, issues, and roadmap live on GitHub.
